News Update 29th June 2010 - Blood Donation Drive Kelab Sukan & Rekreasi Sabah Energy Corporation Sdn Bhd once again collaborated with Queen Elizabeth Hospital Blood Bank for its Blood Donation Campaign for year 2010 which was held at SEC's office. The blood donation drive was participated by employees of SEC, Monfort Youth Training Centre, Ranhill Powertron Sdn Bhd, Sepangar Chemical Industry Sdn Bhd, Single Mother Association, Kementerian Pembangunan Sumber & Kemajuan Teknologi Maklumat, Lembah Impian, C.H. Williams and individuals. This time round, we managed to collect 61 pints of blood surpassing last year target.

June 2010 – Courtesy Visit to Tuan Yang Terutama, Negeri Sabah, Dato' Harun Hj Ismail accompanied by SEC Board of Directors and Management Team paid a courtesy call to Tuan Yang Terutama, Tun Haji Ahmadshah Bin Abdullah at the Istana. SEC's Chairman, YB Au Kam Wah briefed His Excellency the “Halatuju” of SEC for the year 2010 onwards.
10th June 2010 – Courtesy Visit to Chief Minister's Office Dato' Harun Hj Ismail accompanied by CEO of Asian Supply Base Sdn Bhd paid a courtesy visit to Datuk Seri Musa Hj Aman at his official residence, Sri Gaya. He briefed the CM the “Halatuju” of SEC for the year 2010 onwards. 8th June 2010 - Management Committee Meeting and Luncheon Dato' Harun Hj Ismail as the new CEO chaired the 1st Management Committee Meeting and Quarterly Review Meeting and later had lunch with ASB Management and SEC staff members.
3rd June 2010 – SEC's first woman CEO retires
26th May 2010 – Datuk Margaret Fung's Farewell Party Dato' Harun Hj Ismail received his letter of appointment as Chief Executive Officer from the State Secretary, YB Datuk Hj Sukarti Hj Wakiman in his office at Innoprise Building, Likas.

in the evening a retirement party was organised for Datuk Margaret
Fung who retired on the 30th May 2010. SEC and ASB Board
of Directors, Management team, staff and invited guests attended the
party.
20th April 2010 - SEC declares RM12m dividend to State Government
SabahEnergy Corporation Sdn. Bhd. (SEC) declared a dividend of RM12 million for the financial year ending December 31, 2009 to state government. With the latest payment the highest ever in its series of yearly payment, SEC has paid a total dividend of RM64.34 million to the state government since 1992. Chief Minister Datuk Seri Musa Haji Aman in receiving the payment, said the wholly-owned state government entity was also expected to record a pre-tax profit of RM87 million. He said this would be the highest since the restructuring of the Sabah Gas Utilisation project in 1992. Datuk Seri Musa Haji Aman who is also Finance Minister attributed the achievement to SEC's core activities and its investments in joint ventures. In addition, SEC's wholly-owned subsidiary Asian Supply Base Sdn Bhd which provides services to the oil and gas industry also contributed significantly to the group's profit. During the handing over of the dividends at the State Assembly building he congratulated SEC for its commendable performance. He believed the achievement was made possible through efficient and transparent management. Present at the ceremony were the Finance Ministry's Permanent Secretary Datuk Pengiran Hassanel Pg Mohd Tahir, SEC Chairman YB Au Kam Wah and CEO Datuk Margaret Fung and Board of Directors. The Chief Minister said that excellent management, would lead to excellent performance in government agencies like what SEC has shown. He also urged other state agencies to emulate SEC. “Every agency must adopt transparency and good management. This is what we have been doing from time to time, to have all agencies to perform well. A win-win situation for all parties. The agency will gain more profit and the government will benefit from higher dividend payment”, the Chief Minister added.
Meanwhile, Datuk Seri Musa also thanked Datuk Margaret Fung, who is retiring end of May, for her significant contribution to SEC and congratulated the SEC's Deputy Chief Executive Officer, Tuan Hj Harun Hj Ismail who would be succeeding her.

Charity Visit to Thalassaemia Ward at Hospital Wanita dan kanak-Kanak
Sabah (Hospital Likas) During the visit, KSR-SEC donated sling bags, face towels, packet drinks and Kentucky Fried Chicken for the children as part of the company's corporate social responsibility (CSR ) programme.
The person in charge of the thalassaemia centre gave KSR-SEC members anopportunity to meet the patients whom amongst them are young children below age of 15 years old. She also further briefed the members the causes of the blood disorder which are common amongst family from part of north Sabah. |
